Born in Wellington, May 1976. I have been an avid sportsman all my life.
Like a good kiwi bloke started playing rugby from the age of 5 finally
giving up at 18. Started playing competitive Badminton when I was 15 and
have been a Wellington Representative every year since then (Except when
living/working in Malaysia and this year- but that is another story). Began
mountain biking around 2001 just for exercise, and since then done a couple
of races including Karapoti in 2004 (4hrs7min), 2005 (3hrs47min), and 2006 (3hrs25min). Similar
scenario with road cycling, entered a few social races such as Round Lake
Taupo in 2003(5hrs23min).
