What is Adventure racing ? ...
Adventure racing is a combination of two or more disciplines, including orienteering and navigation, cross-country running, mountain biking, kayaking and climbing and related rope skills. An event can span ten days or more while sprints can be completed in a matter of hours.
Why Adventure racing and Capital Stamina ?
Well it was Liam's vision in 2005 to bring a local team of Wellingtonians together over the space of a few years to build up a team to do the Southern Traverse.
Although the Southern Traverse has now been replaced in our plans with the 2007 XPD in Australia, we have already tasted some success in our first couple of years to keep us motivated during the extra buildup.
